In the heart of Val di Noto, in the wonderful Ibla countryside, among centuries-old olive trees and fruit orchards you can find Villa Hena a magnificent example of restoration of the typical Sicilian stone mansions.
Villa Hena has been completely renovated and refurbished in every aspect, it has the most modern comforts and offers its guests moments of delightful relax in contact with the surrounding nature.
There are large outer and well equipped lounge areas where you can spend moments of real relax, enriched by a garden full of centuries old olive trees, a fruit orchard and a well trimmed lawn.
The big exclusive infinity pool, with salty water and waterfalls, is equipped with deck chairs, tables, chairs and beach umbrellas. You can enjoy refreshing moments of pure relax with a wonderful view on the surrounding countryside.
You can also enjoy the lounge with an ancient stone oven, accurately renewed and artistically modernised with stone outer walls. Our chef is available on request to organize unforgettable lunches and dinners based on the typical Sicilian cuisine of the area.
The outer areas are decorated and adorned with splendid boundary walls made of stones with the typical Sicilian technique of dry-stone walls.
Finally, the carefully lighted structure creates a surreal effect.
The villa is made up of a wide living area where you can also find the well equipped kitchen with modern electrical appliances. On the ground floor there is a bedroom with en suite bathroom and a double room with queen size beds and a sofa bed with bathroom.
On the first floor there is a wonderful bedroom with en suite bathroom (bathtub and shower box inside), wooden roofs, side balconies which allow our guests a panoramic view on the surrounding countryside and on the swimming pool waterfalls, well lighted at night. On the same floor you can find another bedroom with a queen bed and a bean bag chair.
Villa Hena is in the heart of the Val di Noto in the country near the well known village of Giarratana, which is famous for its onions, its popular festivals and the most beautiful living nativity scene in Italy.
Just a 20 minute drive from Giarratana we can find some charming baroque towns, UNESCO heritage, like Ragusa Ibla, Modica and Scicli. After a 30 minute drive you can enjoy the most beautiful beaches in the Ibla coastline like Marina di Ragusa, Playa Grande, Donnalucata and Sampieri, which were awarded the blue flag in 2014 too. A 35 minute drive will take you to Siracusa and Noto, two cities officially recognised by UNESCO as humanity world heritage.
In the surrounding area we can find the Calaforno Hypogeum and the forest park. There you can have long walks and excursions, or go mountain biking in an uncontaminated nature. In the Santa Rosalia artificial lake you can practise freshwater fishing and Donnafugata golf courses are just a 35 minute drive from the villa. Wine and food lovers can enjoy the numerous typical restaurants, the well known wines and the typical local oil, they can discover the local cuisine and the local controlled origin food.
