Where do I start...
On arrival the property manager “Rafiel” was very rude!. We where delayed on our arrival (flights, transfer etc). I updated the property manger about these delays, however when we arrived he was not happy at all. He literally ran around the property flicking light switches telling me briefly what we needed to know. I apologised for our lateness and he scuttled off in a somewhat still unhappy mood.
As by this time it was getting late (9pm), Me, my wife and two kids decided we would go to bed and wake up and start the day fresh the next morning. Whilst putting my kids to bed (8yrs&4yrs) I noticed that the ceiling fan above them looked a little loose. Loose was an under statement. Someone has jammed screws in it from all angles, trying to stop it from wobbling out of its bracket. Needless to say this never got used. The fan in the master bedroom was no different either which fan blades coming loose and covered in THICK dust.
Honestly the whole property is in need of a major overhaul. There is a broken shower screen, window roller shutters that don’t close all the way ( Rafiel’s words), a rusty broken towel radiator, unpainted walls after plastering (bedroom), lights that don’t work properly, a rusty kitchen sink, dusty furniture and old smelly dated couch covers.
I tried to call the property manager (as instructed) to try and resolve these issues, mainly the light in my kids room but repeatedly got a voice message telling me his phone was turned off or out of service range. We got on with our holiday despite these annoyances.
When it came to leaving the property, I finally got a call from the property manager asking what time we where leaving, I asked if the property manager would meet me to go through the issues I had found and try to ask for a cleaning deposit back as the property had not been cleaned. When he arrived I was met with laughter when I raised the issue about the insecure light fitting and aggression when I raised all the other issues listed above. He told me to go back to my own country and get the hell out of here.
What I will say Is that the property is in a good location and the resort is kept very well. Maintenance staff are out every day tending to the gardens and pools etc.
This property does not reflect what the level of service La Torre golf resort offers.
I would think again before booking this property.
