Amazing views and ultimate relaxation!
My husband and I spent a few days during our 30th anniversary trip in Emerald Hill Villa. It really is the place to get away from it all. The swing overlooking the water was our favorite spot to just hang out and watch the water, the boats, and on our last morning multiple rainbows come and go. Marigot Bay is a nice little town with shops and restaurants, and a little beach as well. Masala Bay was an amazing dinner. Thank you for sharing your villa with us!
It was a pleasure hosting you! Thank you for choosing the Emerald Hill Villa for your special 30th anniversary trip. I am thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Hope to welcome you back soon!
We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary here at Emerald Hill Villa. The views of this villa are absolutely breathtaking! Pictures online are wonderful, but cannot fully capture the beauty of the views!. The openness and layout of the villa allows you to have unobstructed views of the Caribbean Sea and Marigot Bay. I can't say enough good things about this villa. Not only was the actual villa wonderful, the staff was amazing. We hired a chef (Thelma) the last night at the villa it was delicious!!! Would definitely recommend. Would also highly recommend Albert or his son, Bob for drivers. They were always punctual, friendly, and had a wealth of information! Looking forward to coming back again!

Over the top beautiful and peaceful
My wife and I have traveled the Caribbean and visited St. Lucia three times in the past 10 years. We've stayed a 3, 4, and 5-star resorts and this was by far the most enjoyable. Location, location, location and view, view, views. This has to be what you are looking for. Not brand new but with character and history. No nightlife, loud parties and white glove service - just nice and quiet - party is 5 minutes away down the hill if you want it. The house was built in the 1970s then remodeled and the living area and kitchen is completely open to the sea and the bay. It is glorious with its views, and soft breezes. The sleeping rooms are air conditioned and comfortable. Bugs are not bad at all in the open area but watch your toast in the morning as the regular little birds are hungry. We felt safe and the staff was always available if we had an issue. Word is that Nicholas Cage looked up as he sailed into Marigot Bay and said "I want that house". The owner will not sell and we're happy because we'll return at any time we can make it happen.
Thank you Chip for your 5 star review. It's a pleasure to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. We hope to welcome you back soon!
Wow-one of the best views in the world!
You are staying here for the view and unique open air home. All the other stuff (slower wifi, minor bug issue at night, critters that may stop by) DO NOT MATTER. When we opened the door to the view-it is literally breath taking-for our entire family that have been lucky enough to go all over the world. We stayed as a family of four with 2 teenage boys. We brought board games for evening activities (yes no TV's and slow wifi can be awesome). I took a video each morning leaving my room to go make coffee. If you like long quiet mornings drinking coffee with one of the best views anywhere-then book here! The kitchen had what we needed and while we worked a bit to keep things clean and mostly bug free-it is open air in a tropical climate. The housekeeper came each day around 10:30 to clean and freshen up-a great touch. The local area has some very good restaurants and some average ones-Doolittles-blah. Our favorite was Masala-went there twice. We stayed on the island for 10 nights and so opted for the food service delivery-for mostly basic supplies (inc wine, beer, and some liquor) it was around $600. A bit pricey-but all of the good meals on the island are very pricey and some of the very average ones as well. If we come back to St Lucia-we would stay here again-would be great with another couple as well. The other place had everything all new, a very good view, technolgy, etc-but this is where I would come back to-you do need a car.
Thank you Bryan for your 5 star review. Happy to see that you enjoyed the great views that this villa has to offer. We hope to welcome you back soon!
The view at Emerald hill villa is stunning ! You get the sea and the bay it is simply breathtaking ! The pool is great! So peaceful and relaxing here! The bedrooms are air conditioned , I kept my door closed to keep out bugs. Main house is open air we had birds visit every day, I quite fell in love with one called Henry, he sat at my shoulder daily and I fed him . Alice the owner was an amazing lady, Albert drove us where we needed to go , Christine keeps the house tip top daily . My recommendations are, we loved to eat at Marsala, Pirates bay and doolittles. We didn't hire a car we walked down the steep hill every night ( 15 mins) tried back up one time and got a taxi back up the rest of the nights for $10 . We had a water taxi to Castries , I didn't enjoy and felt it a waste of time and money . At guest services we were given Charlie and we hired him from 10-3 as a private water taxi for $200, what an amazing day! Went to lots of beaches and snorkeled, loved sugar beach and chastanet, also the pitons and lunch in soufriess it was our best day here! We loved it! On our last day we hired a taxi $100 to go to reduit beach , another waste of money , ugly beach, long ride, and aggressive vendors who won't take no for an answer ! We turned around and left , we wish we had gonebback to one of the other beaches instead , kinda bummed about it really . All in all a great trip, the view will be missed !
Perfect 2nd honeymoon trip!
My husband and I stayed here for a week in June for our 2nd honeymoon and they had to drag us out! It was perfect, magical, very romantic! We simply could not get enough of the view and the pool from the Caribbean sunsets to gazing at the stars! We cooked several nights at home and just took in the view! We felt totally pampered with Christina our housekeeper when she washed our sheets and dried them in the Caribbean breezes...to our awesome taxi driver Albert and son Bob! They were great...drove us anywhere and everywhere with no worries man! The owner Alice visited a few times and shared the history of the house! She's so sweet and really makes your stay perfect! We are already planning our next trip! Can't wait!
