bigger than we expected
very nice property
after a short hike up a hill just outside the house, you are at the upper village, right near ski rentals & lifts
the house was a lot bigger than we expected
we were the first group for the winter ski season , it could've been better stocked & freshened up
but aside from that it was great
updated kitchen, big table for games & meals
fireplace, tv & plenty of room for our big group to spread out
all of the bedrooms on the first & second levels had an attached bath
bunk room, another bedroom, full bath & sauna on the lower level
we had a wonderful time and would def. stay here again
Black Diamond House
This house is perfect for a large group. Plenty of bedrooms and baths for everyone. All ages can enjoy this property and its location. We were here in the summer and there was plenty of hiking, biking, zip lining, gondola riding, and sledding just across the street. The house itself was roomy and comfortable , and we never felt crowded. The kitchen was perfect for our needs and the grill worked well.
The kids enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings. All in all a nice place to stay in the mountains, but close to the beach at the lake and Glacier National Park.
Great house, lots of room for groups!
A group of 12 of us stayed here for a long weekend and we loved it. Each bedroom had its own bathroom and there was plenty of entertainment space on the main floor. The hot tub was great. Hill was only a few minutes walk away.
Family time for skiing
Our 3 adult children and their partners, plus our 5 grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren were very comfortably accommodated for our family ski trip to Big Mountain. We particularly enjoyed the fact that we were in a single family residence and therefore not disturbed by neighbors.
We will forward a detailed favorable report to our property management contact.
Need more towels
Our family (group of 14) enjoyed our stay in the Whitefish area. There are many things to do in the area, such as alpine slides, rafting, and Glacier National Park. The condo is spacious, and it was wonderful for each couple to have its own bathroom. There were only 2 towels supplied in each bathroom, which was enough for the adults on a daily basis, but there were no extra towels for 4 of the children that were sleeping in the bunk room. Towels had to be washed on a daily basis just so the children could shower, which was a huge inconvenience when you are trying to go out sightseeing. There was also only one kitchen towel provided. The shower on the main level had poor water pressure. Overall, the condo was spacious and comfortable, and we enjoyed our visit to the Whitefish area.
Great property for a large family
This was a great property for an extended family group of 10. We could've fit a few more even! Location is very nice, although it was further to Glacier than we really realized. Like many Montana properties, there is no AC--which was fine when we arrived and temps were in the 60s but a bit uncomfortable at the end of our stay with temps in the high 80s. There were fans, though, and windows to open at night. Our only true complaint is that the there are very inadequate window coverings for the bedroom windows, which in the summer means it was very hard for kids to fall asleep when it's light past 10 p.m. and for anyone to stay asleep in the morning when the sun comes up. Some quality window shades that cover the entire window in the bedrooms would be really helpful! Overall it was a lovely home with lots of space though.
