Warm and cosy for the time of year and a great location for Skipton
Met our expectations overall and wade for an enjoyable break
Many thanks for your review Mike.
You and your family would be very welcome to stay again or to try AIRE VUE - SKIPTON, also available through HomeAway.
The steam railways will be in full operation in the Spring/Summer so a perfect time for a return visit!
Wonderful and great location
Four seniors spent 8 nights here and loved every minute. We were well received and welcomed at our late arrival of 8:00 pm. The unit was spotless and had everything we needed. It is close (10 minute walk to High Street) to where all kinds of shopping, restaurants, and pubs are as well as the Skipton Castle. Also about 10 minutes from the main bus station with many connections. Also 15 minutes from a major grocery store and
the train station.
Some basic supplies were provided as well as considerable information on attractions, busses, shopping and many others.
We recommend this property very highly.

Many thanks for your review Barbara. I am really pleased that Belle Vue was a comfortable place for you stay and that you found the locstion convenient.
You would be welcome to stay again next time you come to the Yorkshire Dales.
Cosy, terrace house in a quiet street not far from the centre of Skipton with good size lounge and dining room. Well equipped with spacious bathroom and comfortable beds.
Good location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and we enjoyed our stay.
Many thanks for your positive review Hazel. Really pleased that you enjoyed your stay. You would be very welcome to stay again if you are coming to walk in the Dales another time.
Lovely well-equipped and nicely furnished house in a great location
We had a very comfortable 3-week stay here. The house exceeded our expectations, starting from the time we walked in the door and were greeted with tea and cookies. The kitchen was very well equipped with all the pots and pans you'd need to cook for a family, with a nice dining/sitting room to eat in. A separate living room had two comfy sofas and TV with Netflix. Free wi-fi worked fine. Upstairs, the two bedrooms had very comfortable beds and good linens; extra linens are provided in the bed drawers. Huge bathroom with both a tub and separate shower. Heat and hot water were fine. Outside, there is a seating area and small outbuilding that houses the washer/dryer. Everything worked fine.
As for location, we didn't have a car but it appears there is ample free parking on the street if you do. It's about a 5-10 minute walk to Skipton High St - we found the best (least hilly) way was to take a left out of the house, then a right at the end of the street, then a left onto Newmarket St. There are lots of places to eat in Skipton, ranging from fish and chips to fine food (Spice Mill was our fave restaurant, they also deliver). There's a street market that runs 3 or 4 days a week. Morrison's is the nearest market (grocery store) - they also do deliveries (we set up a delivery online before we left the US, so we had the staples delivered to the door the morning after we arrived).
For going further afield, the train station is a further 5 min from the High St. If it's raining, or you don't want to walk, the station is a ~$5 cab ride. (Note: we found it was well worth getting a BritRail pass before we left the US). There's an early morning train direct to London from Skipton, which is really convenient if you want to do a day-trip to the city. Otherwise, trains from Skipton to Leeds run very often and connections to anywhere can be made from Leeds. Saltaire is on the Skipton-Leeds route and well worth a visit if you're a David Hockney fan (and even if you're not a Hockney fan).
Communication with the owner was great and he offered some helpful suggestions for places to visit. There are lots of lovely walks to do in the area and further afield.
You feel comfortable like at home because it is cosy and fully equiped.
The location is very convenient to visit the Dales and cities like Leeds. We will definitely go back.
Many thanks for your review Rosa. Really pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Belle Vue and look forward to welcoming you back in 2019.
A Lovely Retreat
It was a pleasure to stay in Skipton at Nigel's beautifully maintained and tastefully decorated accommodation. We were able to leave the car parked in the street and walk into town to the shops, market and to the bus and train stations.
We were greeted warmly and knew if we had any problems we could make contact easily. Thankyou
Many thanks for your review and really pleased that you appreciated the quality of Belle Vue. Victoria does a fantastic job in preparing the house for our guests to ensure that everyone is as comfortable as possible and enjoys their stay.
You are very welcome to stay again next time you visit Skipton and the Yorkshire Dales.
